China recorded 19 new cases of corona in the mainland on Monday, the country’s National Health Commission (NHC) said on Tuesday.

Of the new cases, 11 were imported and eight were localized. Local cases include seven from Beijing, as well as a case from Shanghai. No new deaths were reported.

The capital continues to publish new cases, although local officials last week called for an outbreak in a “largely limited” wholesale food market.

In addition, four new asymptomatic cases were reported by the NHC. Currently 99 asymptomatic patients are under medical supervision.

To date, China has recorded 83,531 corona cases, with 4,634 deaths.

A total of 78,469 patients have been discharged so far, the health agency said.

This is because 400,000 residents in Anxin County, Hebei Province, have been put under new lock measures amid a small increase in cases.

Anxin, a relatively rural and sparsely populated prefecture, is located about 90 miles (145 kilometers) south of Beijing, which has seen an increase in corona cases linked to the Xinfadi market over the past two weeks.
