The hertz number that a phone screen can display refers to the number of frames per second, determining how fast and smooth the phone screen feels when scrolling through apps and web pages and how smoothly supported game feel is.
It is rumored that there will bestarted on Tuesday: the (5.4 inches), iPhone 12 and 12 Pro (6.1 inches) and iPhone 12 Pro Max (6.7 inches). Some reports say that the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max will have a refresh rate of 120Hz, while the base iPhone 12 will have a refresh rate of 60Hz.
Most phones – including the iPhone 11 – have a refresh rate of 60Hz. But some high-tech models, includingand , have a rate of 120Hz, so it is not surprising that Apple would add it to its repertoire.
IPhone 12 Pro models are also rumored to have Apple’s proprietary ProMotion display, which can be found on iPad Pro models. This technology dynamically adapts the screen to the way content moves for faster, smoother scrolling.
