Ghana Gold engages Principal Geologist to manage exploration and grade control

PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla., Jan. 23, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Ghana Gold Corporation; OTC (PINKSHEETS: GGCO) is pleased to announce they have engaged Kwabena Ata Mensah as Principal Geologist to manage the exploration and deposit evaluation and for the Company.

Mr. Mensah is a highly credentialed licensed geologist and member of the Ghana Institute of Geoscientists (MGHIG) since 1997 and recently admitted to the highly prestigious Australasian Institute of Mining & Metallurgy.  In addition to directing Ghana Gold's efforts, Mr. Mensah is the Managing Director and Technical Director for KAM Associates Limited (KAM), a private geological services and exploration logistics company based in Ghana.  Mr. Mensah has essential expertise in exploration techniques and grade control work especially drilling management and geo technical sampling well suited to both the Companies alluvial mining operations and hard rock drilling exploration programs.  Mr. Mensah has served as Senior Field Geologist for Johannesburg Consolidated Investments (GH) Limited, Ghana and as Contract Geologist for Ashanti Goldfields Limited. Mr. Mensa started his professional career in 1994 with Atlantis Mining as a project geologist.  Over his nearly 20 year career Mr. Mensah has been fortunate to have led or been associated with some of the most successful gold mining operations in Ghana, including Ango-American Prospecting Company, Newmont Gold Limited and Volta Drilling and Mining Company.  Mr. Mensah's extensive gold explorations have also included the mineral rich counties of; Sierra Leone, Guinea, Cote D'Ivoire and Liberia.
