Alaska Gold Corp. files a new 43-101 technical report

VANCOUVER, British Columbia, July 23, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Alaska Gold Corp. (OTCBB: AKGC) (the "Company") announces that it has filed an updated 43-101 technical report prepared by ACA Howe Inc. on July 13, 2012, and has completed its Phase 1 exploration program on its Bear Claims property which includes MMI (Mobile Metal Ion) sampling, a 3D IP Survey, and geological mapping. This news release has been reviewed by Alaska Gold Corp. Qualified Person ("QP") Donald Keill, Certified Professional Geologist. The technical report complies with National Instrument 43-101, Standards of Disclosure for Mineral Projects ("NI 43-101"), of the Canadian Securities Administrators.

About the Bear Claims property: Placer gold mining in the Circle Mining District has been continuous since 1893 and it is estimated that 1 million ounces of gold have been recovered. Placer mining remains active in all of the drainages that surround the Bear Claims, in particular, Miller Creek to the southeast, Mammoth Creek to the east, Porcupine Creek to the north and Bonanza Creek to the west.
About MMI Sampling: Mobile Metal Ion (MMI™) geochemistry is a proven advanced geochemical exploration technique known to find mineral deposits. The Company has completed the collection of 219 MMI soil samples which have been sent to SGS Labs for geochemical analysis.
About IP Surveys: Induced Polarization (IP) is a geophysical imaging technique used to identify subsurface materials, such as ore. On July 7, 2012, SJ Geophysics completed a 3D IP survey of approximately 32 line km's. That data is now being processed and will produce geological mapping and information that, along with MMI test results, will be used to identify drill targets for Phase 2 of our exploration program.
