Yukon Gold Mining Alliance Hosts Analyst Tour of Yukon Properties
Monday, Jul 26, 2010
The Yukon Gold Mining
Alliance (YGMA) is hosting a number of investment analysts on property
visits during a three day, seven stop tour from July 26-29. This continues a
series of successful events organized by the YGMA following a launch in
Vancouver in February 2010, presentations at the PDAC Conference in Toronto
in March 2010 and Investor Forums in Toronto and New York City in April
2010.
The tour will highlight YGMA member companies and their flagship properties.
This continues the goal to enhance awareness and present opportunities to
invest in the Yukon to the national and international investment community.
The seven members of the YGMA are Alexco Resource Corp (TSX:AXR,
NYSE-AMEX:AXU), Capstone Mining Corp (TSX:CS), Copper Ridge Explorations
Inc. (TSX-V :KRX), Golden Predator Corp (TSX:GPD), Northern Freegold
Resources Ltd (TSX-V:NFR), Victoria Gold Corp (TSX-V:VIT) and Western Copper
Corp (TSX:WRN).
"The purpose of the Tour is to give investors a first hand look at what the
Yukon and our member companies have to offer," said YGMA Chair Scott Kent.
"Hosting these analysts is key to our success in attracting investment to
the Yukon."
Home of the famous Klondike Gold Rush in the late 1890s, Canada's Yukon is
undergoing a new rush with new mines opening before the end of the year.
New exploration is generating excitement throughout the industry as the
Yukon is seen as one of the most favourable jurisdictions in the world for
investment in the mining industry.
"The YGMA complements the activities already being carried out by individual
companies and the Yukon government," added Kent. "We believe we can achieve
more by sharing resources and working together."
The YGMA intends to host a number of events throughout North America and
Europe in the coming months. A series of forums in five different European
Cities is currently being organized for early Fall.
