Mojang: Bringing Minecraft to Smash is the result of an “Amazing Collaboration” with Nintendo

Nintendo has maintained a rosy relationship with Microsoft for several years, and apparently, this is being extended to Xbox Game Studio, Mojang (also known as the team behind Minecraft and more recently Minecraft dungeons).

As soon as we saw more evidence of this with the announcement that Steve, Alex, Zombie and Enderman will all join the Nintendo brawl, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, as fighters played. And in a new post on the Minecraft website, Mojang Studios chief creative officer Jens ‘Jeb’ Bergensten praised the “amazing collaboration” with Nintendo:

“The transfer of Minecraft to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is the result of an amazing collaboration with Nintendo. As fans of the series and avid gamers in our studios, we could not be more excited to see Minecraft join the already legendary Smash character series. “

Even the official Xbox account took to Twitter, confirming his own ad campaign:

“How could we not be [hyped], Smash Bros. is a classic! “

The addition of Steve to Smash follows from Banjo-Kazui – another Microsoft IP – added to the game list last June Now, what about the Leader overcoming it?
