Hurricane Chris hurriedly charged with second-degree murder in Louisiana

The shooting took place on Friday at around 1am in the Texaco mini market, according to a press release from the Shreveport police department. Officers arrived and found a man with multiple wounds.

The man was identified by Caddo Parish Coroner’s office as Danzeria O. Farris Jr., 32, of Shreveport. He died of his wounds at Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport Hospital, police said.

The 31-year-old rapper, whose real name is Christopher J. Dooley, was identified as a suspect in the shooting. Dooley claimed the shots were in self-defense after a race for his vehicle, police said.

“Investigators have been able to provide video footage of what the detectives believe Dooley did not do in self-defense,” the statement said.

Detectives learned that the vehicle did not belong to Dooley, but it was reported that it had been stolen from Texas.

Dooley has been charged with one count of conspiracy to commit second-degree murder and illegal possession of stolen items. He was taken into custody in Sreveport prison on Friday. according to prison records.
