In a statement on Wednesday, the state government said Victoria Police would also dramatically increase police presence in and around Metropolitan Melbourne to enforce the lock, including 264 members of the Australian Defense Forces helping ground operations.
Police will continue to visit the home and patrol public spaces across Victoria, according to the statement.
