The national image of college football will begin to gain even more clarity on Saturday as the Big Ten makes its 2020 debut. Ohio No. 5 is expected to compete for a place in the College Football Playoff, but what about No. 8 Penn State; The Nittany Lions face a remarkable opponent in their opener as they travel to face an Indiana team coming off an 8-5 season. Penn State will not be the only team from the state of Pennsylvania on Saturday.
No. 3 Notre Dame plays in Pittsburgh in a crucial game for the Irish 4-0 Fighting, who must begin to show more dominance if he is to keep Ohio State in the ballot box.
In total, there are 19 ranking teams in action on Saturday and four games between rated opponents – one from the ACC, Big Ten, Big 12 and AAC. All this in a full day of college football that will start at noon ET and will continue after midnight as No. 12 BYU takes over Texas State in a late-night affair.
