Anthony Eaglehorse-Lassandro, 27, met with several protesters shortly after 1:00 ET near Southwest 3rd Avenue near Alder Street in his car, police said. Eaglehorse-Lassandro then entered the crowd, hitting several protesters, driving at a “high speed” and going the wrong way on the streets, the statement added.
Eaglehorse-Lassandro injured three people, but all three were injured, according to police, “believed to be life-threatening.” Two were taken to hospital by ambulance and one patient was taken to a private car for treatment, police said.
After Eaglehorse-Lassandro left the scene in his car, police with planes “were able to monitor the vehicle and inform the location as the suspicious vehicle drove recklessly,” the statement said.
Eventually, he was arrested after he was hit by another car, a barricade and tried to walk away, police said.
Eaglehorse-Lassandro has been arrested on charges of “Felony Hit and Run”, “Reckless Driving” and “Possession of a Controlled Substance”, according to prison records. It is unknown at this time what he will do after leaving the post.
That was the only arrest of the protesters in the evening, police said.
